Agent access is metered differently, and is not billed either. The tiers above count HTTP requests. The MCP server counts cells — one variable at one geography is one cell — because an agent's cost is in how much of the dataset it reads, not how many times it asks. These are the numbers the server enforces today, under whatever plan an account ends up on; which tier maps to which allowance is one of the things still undecided.

Free is sized to answer roughly fifty real questions a day and to be worthless to anyone trying to copy the dataset: the distinct-tract ceiling, not the cell count, is what makes a full copy take years. The per-tool cell prices are published on the MCP page.

Pricing FAQ

What counts as a request?

One billable request = one call to /v1/lookup with one address. The batch endpoint counts addresses, not HTTP calls — 1,000 addresses in one batch = 1,000 requests.

Do you cache?

Yes. Identical requests within 24 hours are served from our edge cache and don't count against your quota.

Can I switch plans mid-month?

Up or down, anytime. Upgrades are prorated, downgrades take effect the next billing cycle.

Do you offer a free trial of Pro?

No trial — the free plan gives you the full dataset. If 10k requests aren't enough to evaluate, email us and we'll bump it.

What about overages?

Free overflows return 429. Pro & Business overflows are billed at $0.0002 / request with no cap until your next billing cycle (you can also set a hard limit).

Is there a non-profit / academic discount?

A discount for accredited universities, registered 501(c)(3)s, and civic-tech projects is planned, but nothing is finalized. Follow the GitHub repo for updates.
